Your first 60: a deck template

A starting ratio for building any deck. Swap in your favourite Pokémon and adjust from there.

The starting ratio

  • Pokémon16
  • Trainers32
  • Energy12

Steps

  1. Pick your attacker

    Choose one main Pokémon and its evolutions.

  2. Add search cards

    Ultra Ball, Nest Ball and similar cards find your Pokémon.

  3. Add draw Supporters

    These keep your hand full.

  4. Count to 60

    Adjust Energy last.

Questions

Why only 12 Energy?

Search cards and draw cards help you find Energy, so you need fewer than you’d think.

Can I have more than four of a card?

Only Basic Energy. Every other card is limited to four copies.
